ESPN reported that Revis may have injured the wrist in Week 3’s loss to the Eagles, playing through an issue the team believed to be a sprain. The soreness lingered, however, prompting an offseason re-examination.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports that Revis had a torn ligament in the wrist.

Revis played 14 games last season (missing two with a concussion), finishing with five interceptions and leading the Jets with nine takeaways. It marked Revis’ return to Gang Green after spending the previous two seasons with the Buccaneers and Patriots, respectively.

Revis has suffered only one other serious injury in his career — a torn ACL that cost him most of the 2012 season. Revis will turn 31 in July is entering his 10th season. If his recovery goes to plan, he’ll be on the field in Week 1. football jerseys cheap
